This is my first Tess Gerritsen book, but it certainly won't be my last. Actually, I listened to the CD version. It is a little annoying going from Boston to Italy for the different parts of the story, but I guess in the end it is necessary.

I'm not a big fan of the supernatural in books I read, but here it was such an integral part of the story, you could not leave it out. This is an exciting, tense thriller broken up by Jane's problems with her parents. I like the TV series that came from these stories, "Rizzoli & Iles", but there is not time in an hour to cover much of this book.

I am reminded of James Patterson's The Murder Club because there are so many similarities, but enough difference to make them both enjoyable.
