Carlie, Thomas J, and Harvey are stuck in a foster home. They are much like pinball's always bouncing around from home to home, but at this foster home they are treated like they are loved and they start figuring out that life could be worse. Thomas J's life long caretaker's die, Harvey's dad ran over his legs, and Carlie was abused by her mom's boyfriends, but rather than dwelling on the past these kids start to look towards the future.
