I remember this time, too vividly perhaps, but for other reasons... for one of those 'other murders that happened in Boston in...' the months surrounding the events of this story... So Junger's is an interesting memoir of sorts. The Goldberg murder was one I was far too young (5) to be aware of or even to remember as the events of it were 'out there' - in the bigger world, but like Junger, my family experienced our own Boston murder in the months just before the death of Bessie Goldberg... one also indirectly 'related' to the Boston Strangler. Interesting to hear about this one.
