I pondered between giving this a 3 or 4 star rating. But decided to go for 3 because for more than half the story, it all seemed like a mushy, romantic story with everyone understanding and accepting the situation. And... it was all too sweet.

[spoiler ahead]I had started the book expecting more angst and difficult issues to face. And was disappointed by the first half of the book. But the last 70 pages or so, made it better. Because 'the thing' between Evan and Matt wasn't all just roses and good times. Because they both made mistakes, they both hurt... they were humanly stumbling their way into a relationship. I'm not entirely sure what role James played in this but he was nicely included in the story, that it would have paid off to have him more present in the plot.[end spoiler]

All in all, it made for a nice read, though it took patience to read it all.
