I finished this book faster than I had anticipated. Or the end took me by surprise. The flow of the story went so smoothly and there were hardly any outbursts (as is the case in the other Diving Deep novels) that I didn't figure the story would end after one fight.

[spoiler ahead]But I liked the story. The characters seemed a bit... vague. There was plenty information to shape them out but somehow, I was left with wanting to know more about their families and how they interacted with them (how Kim's family would react to Shane, the boyfriend). It was weird to see them make an almost 180 turn from closed-off (Kim) and runaway (Shane) to committed and in love but what helped things along the way was having small appearances from Aaron and Joey.

All in all, an enjoyable read (both regarding the plot and sex scenes).[end spoiler]
