I was quite taken by this book for the first 150 pages or so, but the longer the work went on the sillier it seemed to be getting. Still and all, a decent read and one I do not regret. I also give the author a nod for not going on for 800 pages and explaining everything out to four decimal points, as seems to be the unfortunate trend in Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror these days. And, yeah, I'm something of a sucker for post-apocolyptic type fiction, from Earth Abides onwards. Which is why this one gets a fourth star, despite my kvetching.
