I can't really give an objective review of this book. I loved it in high school, and I love it now. Yes, this is a book about robots... and yes, I am a big dork!
For all his flaws, Asimov wrote great social commentary. Here Robots exemplify fears in the 50s of African Americans taking jobs from the working class. A prescient idea given the walls we're building along the Texas/Mexico border.
Lije Baley and Daneel Olivaw are characters you can love for an entire novel, which sets it apart from the Foundation trilogy IMO. If you're into sci-fi at all, this book is a must-read.
