I always look forward to the weeks when Mike Birbiglia does a piece on "This American Life", so I was excited to hear that he had written a book. Some of the stories in his book I have heard on the podcast,(like the one about the incident at La Quinta Inn and the non making out club) but in the book, they are part of a larger narrative or are expanded in some way. I think I appreciated the book more because I was able to "hear" him reading it, and imagining his voice and inflection and comedic timing ("What I SHOULD have said was nothing ...") made the stories even funnier. As always, I appreciate his self-deprecating sense of humor and his willingness to share such awkward but sincere moments from his childhood. Sibs, I think all of you would like this one.

Becky I was so sad because the Louisville library didn't have this book, but then I just checked again after reading your review and it's on order. I'll be reading it soon!
