Weirdly enough this is the exact translation of this work that I read. In any case this whole book is a number of sayings presented alongside the original Chinese and then followed by a philosophical interpretation given by the authors. The sayings themselves are what interest me the most as they show how sometimes writing in a way that is more mysterious, more allegorical, can lend a greater depth to your writing. It is almost like poetry though I understand that it was meant more as religious instruction. Truly powerful imagery... I just hope that one day I could evoke such a sense of wonder in my writing.
