The Scarlet Pimpernel is a tale of adventure. The mysterious Scarlet Pimpernel has been helping sort of refugee French aristocrats from revolution ridden France to more aristocrat friendly England. Margeurite is fascinated with this character and thinks that he's a hero. Little does she know that the person behind the Scarlet Pimpernel is closer to her than she thinks.

This book was really interesting to me mostly because it was from a point of view that we're not normally taught in history classes. The French Revolution is seen as a great time when the people of France stood up to the monarchy and favoring of the aristocracy. It's rare that you see much sympathy for the aristocracy in books.
