really liked it
bookshelves: 2010, kept-me-up-too-late, urban-fantasy, steampunk
Read in October, 2010

I liked the first two in the series, so it was probably pretty unsurprising I liked this one. More of the same, fluffy steamfantasy, this time mostly in Italy.

It was refreshing to read a SFF (ish) book where the heroine had mixed feelings about being pregnant. I am not entirely certain I have *ever* one where the heroine is less than psyched. (Friday is the only one I can think of where shows momentary semi-indifference.)

Otherwise notable: Ivy finally shows somewhat of a brain, (not in any way central to the plot, but I had been wondering why Alexia hung out with her.)

Also the cover art is slowly beginning to sort of resemble Alexia. At least the complexion is getting closer....
