I recently listened to an old book by Danielle Steel on tape, so thought I'd read her most recent novel. I enjoyed the plot, which took me from the present day life of a young single women (stagnant in her graduate studies, in her office job, and in her relationship), to the life of a young Sioux girl who faced challenges with bravery and flexibility. The two lives are intertwined through ancestral history, and one impacts the other in a positive manner.

I've read that Steel does a great deal of research for her books, and that seemed to be the case as Legacy read more like an historical fiction.
