i love this book about london desi boys, and their homophobic lingo ie. batty boys, poncey etc...
all the conflicts from the partition still happening between the children of muslims and hindus and sikhs. and the white kids appropriation and fear of these cultures in the london streets. jas tries to prove he is not a "coconut head," brown on the outside white on the inside. and it nearly kills his chances at a regular life.
but then at the end, you find out he never was brown to begin with, just some white boy trying to be desi.
sorry i just gave it away. i did not love the last fourth of londonstani because it got wierd and not in a good way. so i chopped off a star.
