This is by far one of the funniest books I've ever read. Formatted to read like a high school history textbook, it follows the history of America from the revolution all the way into our three potential futures (robot uprising, the invasion of Latin American cultures into the U.S., or Christ's return.) All along the authors use satire, sarcasm, and sharp wit to both celebrate and criticize our country and its development into its current state. Although readers don't have to be historians to understand the book, it helps to have a general knowledge of American history. Nonetheless, those who slept through all of their high school history classes can still enjoy the non-stop, brilliant humor and the way the book mocks the well-known textbook format so popular in American high schools.
