Another fun vampire novel by Kerrelyn Sparks. I love her vampires, first there was Roman & Shanna, then Angus & Emma and now Jean Luc. These 3 vampires have been friends for over 500 years. In this book Jean Luc follows the others into matrimony.

Jean Luc is a fashion designer who needs to go into hiding from the media because questions are being asked about “why does he look like he has not aged in 30 years”. He has decided to go into hiding for 25 years then come out again as his own son. He has just opened a shop in Texas USA and at the grand opening he spies a woman copying his designs and goes to question her about stealing. Heather is just copying them so that she can make a similar outfit for herself as she cannot afford these prices.

While Jean Luc is speaking with her someone threatens his life, he tells Heather to go but she decides to stay and fight and for her trouble her life is now in danger so Jean Luc must look out for her – she is very reluctant with this idea as she does not want to be under the control of any male after her bad marriage. Jean Luc does convince her that she needs looking after and after her house in set on fire she reluctantly agrees to go back to his home for security reasons.

While there Heather starts to realize that there is something strange about Jean Luc and his friends. She is falling in love with him and he has already told her that he wants her.

It was a good as the other stories I have read by Kerrelyn. I hope she keeps going with them and finds someone for everyone.
