Cat and Mouse (Alex Cross, #4)

by James Patterson (Goodreads Author)
James Patterson’s Cat and Mouse is a definite thriller. Patterson’s use of suspense and ambiguity creates what the novel is – a page turner. Yet, with all the book’s cliff hangers that spur anxiety, the author still gives a very descriptive background of the characters in the novel. I liked this book because of the long term detective versus criminal pursuit, which creates the idea of a cat and mouse chase. Alex Cross seemed to be an ambitious man in his career, was very dedicated, loyal and hard working; however, he found a normal life with his kids to be more enjoyable, and also, he wanted to remarry after his wife passed away. Patterson used a possible real life situation and incorporated into an intriguing novel. I would recommend this book to readers who love a realistic mystery novel.
