I really enjoyed the plot and the characters in this book, though I felt that sometimes the scenes were drawn out way too long for me, especially when it came to the dialog. It was as if Jane had to repeat herself for pages and pages to two different men when trying to make them understand her wishes and decisions. Most of the language was beautiful and very descriptive. I felt as though I could picture each scene in my mind. My only issue with Jane Eyre is that I read it after I read The Eyre Affair. I felt as though I had ruined all of the surprises for myself by reading the latter book first, and I kept waiting for particular plot points to come to fruition. All in all, it is a great piece of classic literature, and I'm glad I read it.
