Okay, this guy may be the best writer of his generation. Which, I acknowledge, is damning him with faint praise. This is a crackerjack book, nearly perfect from every angle.

Mark That's good to know, Deb. The only other Chabon book I've read -- a slim little throwaway called "The Final Solution" -- left me absolutely cold, but I know Carol liked both "The Wonder Boys" and "Kavalier and Klay," so I think this should go on the list.
