This book is for young, young kids. The illustrations, while colorful, are not the most exciting, but the book does serve a purpose: teaching kids the alphabet in a unique, wonderful way. The book is great for read-aloud: it features a rhyming cadence that is easy to remember and almost singable, "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom/Will there be enough room?" The question must be answered as the pages go on and as letter after letter continues to crawl up into a giant palm tree. Cute story. Ages 3-7.
