This one would actually be 3 1/2 stars for me I think. Although I did end up liking Ariana, I agree with the one reviewer that the reason this whole thing started in the first place was because of a betrayal...and no one mentions it! The betrayer is still a major character that is still loved, and no one gets angry at them for doing what they did when what they did was kill hundreds of people!! I never quite got over that.

The story itself was great. I really enjoyed the break from Kougar and Ariana flipping back and forth from anger to passion to visit Wulfe, Tighe, and Hawke. Wulfe!! I am so hoping he gets a book soon. I think Hawke is next, but maybe Wulfe after that??

Obviously, there is an HEA although I will admit it wasn't really a woo hoo moment for me. I was much more wrapped up in the other storylines. I love Xavier, too. He is just too sweet.

All in all, it was a great story of the Ferals as a group. You get to see a lot of the other shifters, some of the mates, and get to know the new characters a little better. I would call this one her "bridge" book, and yet don't let that fool you into thinking it is just an information overload. There is lots of action and new plots lined up here.
