For LDS friends - Julian is the first female English writer who can be "identified with certainty". She lived in the 13th century. She had many visions opened to her. Amazingly, none of what she says is incompatible with Mormon theology. She gives an exact description of the LDS version of heaven, "three heavens were shown, as follows: by the joy I understood the pleasure of the Father; and by the delight, the pleasure of the Son; and by the endless happiness, the Holy Ghost." I believe her visions are true and honest. I feel like I could mine them for endless truths. "I understood that he made everything for love; the same love that sustains everything; and shall do so forever".
