What's all the fuss? Most people I know, and many I don't know, love this book but I couldn't get into it at all. Too many annoying characters and not enough likeable ones.

Ivy Ditto blondie! I read this book ten-odd years ago, and all I can remember of it is how hard it was to see the thing through to the end once I realized what fresh cowpie of a novel I had stepped into.

Jim Ruiz I read this a couple of years back and had the same experience. I think it's one of those cases where the book gets a big build up and can't possibly live up to it's expectations. There is that very sad story about the author and the book did deserve to get published, it didn't really grab me though.
