This is a short memoir about a writing class. It captures well the feeling of being in a fun writing class where ideas fly around and the students are all engaged and energetic. It does offer some great insights into the creative process and the act of writing. Its shortness and ease to read mean it is likely this book will be picked up and reread often.

"To make suffering endurable
To make evil intelligible
To make justice desirable
and . . . to make love possible”
