This was a really fun read. Not very profound or life altering, but just purely fun. The story centers around a family who owns and lives in an NYC hotel that hasn't been getting as much business as usual. Scarlett, the main character, is a down to earth fifteen year old girl facing the prospect of an uneventful summer working at the family's hotel until an unusual and eccentric guest, Mrs. Amberson, comes to stay in Scarlett's suite. This earns her a job as the guest's personal assistant and we are witness to the crazy ruses and escapades in which Mrs. Amberson involves Scarlett. This would be a great summer read or a book to pick up while you're in between reading something a little more intellectually invigorating.
