What a twist! Okay, around page 370 or so, I figured out what the twist was. But, at the same time, it was a good one. For most of the book I was like "huh?" What could Isaac's sin be in this one? Well, I was surprised for sure.

Anyways, this was a great second book in the series and although I did like Covet a bit more, I really liked this one. I think I liked Covet more because I found myself more attached to Vin and Marie-Terese. I liked Isaac, but I found that Grier could be annoying sometimes. I liked their happy ending, but I did find that it was a little less believable than the romance between Vin and Marie-Terese. But, it wasn't that far fetched for a romance (kinda-sorta romance) anyways.

A couple spoiler-ish thoughts:

I was a bit disappointed as well that there were no BDB sightings. But at the same time, I guess it is realistic since most of this took place in Boston, rather than Caldwell. So they weren't really anywhere near Brotherhood territory. It would have been a little off. I miss them though. *sniff sniff*

Overall, I liked the book. I like that Ward kept us guessing the whole time and in the end, it still wasn't what you would've thought. This series is still very hard to categorize. I'm not even sure if I can call it romance, although there is romance in there. I guess it's more urban fantasy. But I certainly am liking it and I can't wait to see what happens next!

Suzanne the Mighty (Under the Covers Book blog) Heya! I am reading this too at the moment. I also can't work out what sin Isaac is meant to represent, I am guessing it isn't avarice as that was Vin, hmmm what are the others, Wrath, Sloth, Lust, Pride, and Gluttony. I can't see him having all these to the extreme! Hmm, I guess I will have to read on, although the title seems to imply either gluttony or lust. What do you reckon?

Regina It is a very good twist. :) I like how Ward does it with this book .....
