Among the Imposters (Shadow Children, #2)
by Margaret Peterson Haddix
by Margaret Peterson Haddix
Margeret Peterson Haddix does it again with another great book to follow up the first book, Among the Hidden. But this time Luke got a fake identity and is going to 3rd children school, without out knowing.
What I liked about this book is that the story line developed as the book went on, instead revealing all of the characters secrets in the end. That way, I enjoy the book as I go instead of waiting to the end to understand the book.
What I disliked about the book is that, like other books, The beginning is slow and depressing. And any books that are like that make me want to fall asleep. This is the only writing flaw that Margeret Peterson Haddix needs to work on.
What suprised me about this book is that I would of never thought there would be that many illegal 3rd children to make a school! I knew there would be a couple of illegal 3rd children but not enough to start a rally in Among the Hidden and a school in Among the Imposters.
What impacted my thinking was the way Luke/Lee was thinking. He was scared to talk to people and couldn't sleep at night. If I were in his shoes, I would try to talk to people, make friends, excell in school, and look normal. Luke tryed to blend in with everybody in the wrong way by doing nothing. But by doing nothing, you kind of stand out.
I would recommend this book for anybody who follows the series of shadow children, and anybody who likes mysterious/adventure/actionish books.
