I wasn't sure how I'd feel about a man who has hidden from his past and let his wife think he was dead, even if he felt that he couldn't give her what she needed. But Noah and his Bella were interesting, because while they both pined for their lost spouse, they both learned to grow and continue without each other. And coming back together really lead them to create some serious sparks. I loved Noah from before; his strength in the face of addiction was quite powerful. Bella's feistiness, and her willingness to stand firm and control the garage, was a great counterpart to Noah. Each time someone won't admit what she knows, she stands strong. As a fictional character, she gained my respect as a reader. And Noah can't figure out his feelings towards her, and his jealousy towards himself was both funny and gave a good punch to the chest. Nathan might have been dangerous, but Noah was lethal, and he feels so strongly that he can't be what she needs. It's great to see Bella force him to realize that he hasn't lost Nathan completely. Great beginning to the second part of the series.
