I randomly picked up this book at the library. I was intrigued as I'm a fan of Scott Weilands, STP, and Velvet Revolver. I didn't know much about Weiland's wife or family but it would have been hard to miss all of the legal issues that Weiland himself had been involved in within the past few years.

Mary's story is pretty sad. She grew up poor and dropped out of high school in order to pursue a lucrative modeling career, during which she fell in love with Scott. Both of them are heavy into drinking and drugs. On top of that, Mary was living with undiagnosed bipolar disorder. Several times both enter rehab in order to try and get clean. However, they always seem to go back to failing. It's a vicious cycle. My heart broke for both of them.
