I was lucky enough to pick this book up during a vicnce flynn book signing at the poisoned pen in scottsdale. He spoke for an hour and it was great to hear about the upcoming movie and the direction he's taking the series. First, I think he's right that it would have been a bad idea to start at the beginning and that by starting in the "middle" with Separation of Power, he helps create a myth to Mitch Rapp. Now, if you follow the series, going back to the beginning and showing his faults and the lessons and mistakes he made at the beginning only adds to the myth. Stan Hurley is the best character in the series besides Mitch and is Mitch with less moral boundaries. Or better yet Mitch is Stan with standards and decency. I can't wait for Flynn to plug the gap between AA and SoPower. He has returned to the level of greatness he achieved with term limits and the first couple Mitch Rapp books. Keep it up Vince because I will continue to read them.

I am a big Mitch Rapp fan. I too will continue to read his books as fast as he writes them. How lucky you were to meet him. I hadn't heard anything about a movie but will keep an eye out. Vince Flynn really knows how to keep me reading into the wee hours of the night.

Hey bdottie check his website or the official fansite of thirdoption.net. I go there for all the updates. I also didn't realize how big he is. 6'3' and 250 easy. Former college football player.
Thanks for the info. Have you read any of Michael Connolly's books. His character if Harry Bosch and he's a policeman. Great books. I also read all of David Baldacci books. Good spy stories.
