The Lost Dogs: Michael Vick's Dogs and Their Tale of Rescue and Redemption

The firs thalf of this book was not an easy read. What these people did to those dogs is reprehensible. I am not a violent woman, but I want to break Michael Vick's throwing arm in such a way that he can never play football again. His jail sentence was not nearly long enough, especially after reading about Little Red.
On the other side, the tales of redemption made my heart soar. To read that so many of these dogs went on to find homes and pass their tests had me grinning from ear to ear. To see that some of them are now even therapy dogs have me clapping. I own a pit mix and the breed is seriously misunderstood. It's always been that way with one breed of dog or another, but it's good to see these dogs showing people that they are great dogs and can be so much more than their reputation.
This is a heartbreaking and moving book. If you are an animal lover, I highly recommend it, even though the beginning is so hard.

wanting to break his throwing arm is such a good way to put it.
