So I'm going to go right ahead and say it: I think I might be over Chuck Palahnuik. Sure, he keeps churning out these cynical looks at popular culture with some glorious graphic details, but really I think I might have had enough. I recently read Haunted, which was rubbish (apart from that famous story, you know: the one that made all those audiences faint/puke/cry) and I'm currently trying to read Rant and getting precisely nowhere with it. I'm not sure I can be bothered any longer.

But anyway: Snuff is about the world's biggest gangbang, basically. It's written from the view point of three of the men who are participating on top (or behind or underneath, I suppose) of the (in)famous Cassie Wright, a porn legend. The clue is in the title about what happens in the end, but I didn't really care. It's a quick read, but one I would only suggest for die-hard Chuck fans. Read Choke, instead.

P.S. I continue to love how CP includes little facts in his novels, though - this time about sex/porn/staying beautiful. Those little true life snippets are so fascinating. I liked the one about how a film star grew her hair long only at her temples, so she could twist the hair around toothpicks and then yank them into the net of her wig to give herself a facelift. Genuis!
