It took a couple chapters for me to get into this book, and then it was a quick read, action packed. It is meant for a teen audience, but I would not give it to my 13 year old---maybe when she is 16. There is physical violence, and sexual menacing. Also, the main character is 18, and feels she is ready for a more adult life, and she is disobedient and deceitful with her family and involves her 11 younger sisters in her misdeeds.
