I really enjoyed this book and could see many ways that it could have been a perfect 5 star novel. Stark is a very interesting "Anti-Hero" that is known by the hellions of hell as Sandman Slim. This is a dark revenge novel that is nothing more than Stark's mission to kill all those that were involved with sending him to hell and killing his girl. Many people come up with creative comparisons to describe what they have just read. I will add that if Joe Abercrombie were to write a novel about a monster killing monsters, it would be much like this. I loved the many creative one liners and funny quotes that Kadrey uses through out this novel. Angels, demons, magic, and guns, everything that I love is here, fulfilling my fantasy, horror, and spiritual needs from one novel. I am glad that this is not the only novel that will feature Sandman Slim and will definitely read more. Check it out!!
