it was amazing

Picked this up partly based on a friend's goodreads review, partly because I'm a big fan of Nunn's show "John From Cincinnati". Had very little idea what to expect but taking the plunge into the unknown worked very well with this book. More and more is revealed over time, both about character and place and plot, and while there was no Son Of God-like surfer aliens or floating retired surfers, this is a story that allowed itself to get darker and weirder and more and more out there as the book goes on until parts of the end feel almost like a comic book.

A great read, sad to hear this is one of Nunn's best, thou I would love to read more of his stuff so any rec's would be welcome. Also, now I want an old Harley much to my wife's chagrin.

AJ Henning I'm about half way thru and it feels like its about to really hit its stride. It's written incredibly well to boot! I saw your review which reminded me I had to read it. I was introduced to Nunn thru John From Cincinnati, which I think I'm the only person who liked haha. I will def let you know what I think when I finish!!
