I enjoyed reading it a lot. It wasn't sophisticated writing and it contained editorial errors, but that didn't spoil it for me. I liked reading a good ghost story, satisfactory in every aspect. It wasn't grotesque but it was creepy, it wasn't horribly frightening but it kept an edge. It wasn't altogether too unlikely, just enough that it was a gothic fantasy. What happens is that a young woman discovers that her past is not what she thought, and when she goes to investigate she discovers all sorts of interesting, not quite of the world of the living or of the typically living, type of things.
