really liked it
bookshelves: popfiction

like a short novel or really long short story...true to Murakami form with its dream-like lack of resolution...while reading this book, you are asleep not wanting to wake up...I liked the detached third-person, "royal we" narrator camera eye. Beautiful in its absurd sweetness and surrealistic dread. If ever (and let's hope it never really happens) there is a screen treatment of any of his works, someone please tap David Lynch to direct.
