This book had a little bit of everything in it. I cried and laughed out loud many times. It would make a great movie but I'm not sure that I would be able to watch it because it would be a bit bloody. I was hooked from the Prologue. I just had to know what was going to happen to Gillian and her sister Christen. What a strong child and woman Gillian was! She always stood up for herself and for those around her that were innocent. By the first chapter I was confused and stayed that way for about the next 3 or 4 chapters. Only because we did meet a lot of new characters and some old ones as well from The Secret.

Side note: I think that Brodick could be my all time favorite hero. I am not sure why I loved him so much. As Gillian was always saying he had many flaws! But just like Gillian I loved Brodick anyway.
