Philip Reeve puts the reader steadily back on the course he set in Larklight with the third and final book in the series, Mothstorm. With an impending invasion of gigantic space-borne moths and their alien riders, all lead by an evil Shaper from another galaxy, Mothstorm rollicks around the solar system with the regular cast of characters (and a few new ones thrown in for good measure), facing epic space battles and more action that one could reasonably shake a stick at.

The writing is top-notch, with even more of Myrtle's writing included to counterpoint Art's accounts of their exploits.

Such fun. It's a shame it had to end.
