This is the perfect book for teaching children (and adults!) the proper way to handle a flag. Elizabeth is a little bear who wants the big task of raising the flag while her father is away. Along with Elizabeth, we learn the how and why of flag etiquette. But this story is about more than flat etiquette; it's also about responsibility and the love of a father and daughter. Juba's narrative does a brilliant job of teaching, while also entertaining. The colorful artwork adds to the fun. Combined this is a unique and beautifully put together story.
