Read from November 29 to 30, 2010

Hap and Leonard are asked by an old friend to rescue his granddaughter from her abusive, drug dealing boy friend. Though outnumbered four to one, our duo didn't have a lot of trouble getting the job done, flushing a great deal of coke down the toilet in the process.

That was only the beginning.

Three of them with a few friends showed up and, in the gun battle, all ended up dead.

Though it was self-defense the FBI got involved. One of the original four they'd beaten up was undercover. They'd ruined a sting operation against the Dixie mafia. In exchange for all the charges disappearing, Hap and Leonard had to find a young man and his girl friend, as well as the $300,000 they'd taken. The boy's father was willing to turn state's evidence against the criminal organization only after his son was safe.

That was the deal, take it or leave it.

So Hap and Leonard recruit a couple of friends and go hunting. On their trail is a crew of heavy hitters from the Dixie mafia who want them, the young couple, and the money as an object lesson to any who defy them.
