College kids crash and burn at Burning Man. One goes missing and we are introduced to the Outsiders, a religious cult (as opposed to the the equally as dangerous people-who-who-don't-shut-up cult) and the group responsible for the missing coed. Whitebread thriller from Little missing the bizarro strangeness of The Store or The Mailman. I expected a lot more weirdness out of the Outsiders but I'm still waiting for dinosaurs to make a comeback too. Enjoyable read but not a book I'll read again.
