really liked it
bookshelves: traditional-text-set

This version of Cinderella is different to the original in that there is no fairy godmother but a hawk who represents a god in this Egyptian rendition. It was also different in the fact that there is no ball but the hawk drops one of the shoes of Rhdopis into his lap and the young prince must go off and find who it belongs to. The young prince goes off in search of the owner.

You could definitely use this to compare and contrast this version to the origianl version of Cinderella.
