I liked this, but it wasn't mindblowing. The pace was slow at times, and in trying to not give too much away at the same time, the whole Lorien background occasionally became rather vague. That's not to say I didn't love it though, I think Lorien sounded fascinating! But was I the only one getting Doctor Who vibes? I hope not. (Although of course John & Henri don't have a TARDIS, now that would've made for a completely different story.)

Also, having Pittacus Lore being mentioned as one of the disappeared Lorien Elders makes the writer's pseudonym very weird for me. Like, the one who wrote the book, is in the story but writing from someone else's perspective. I just found it creepy, but then I probably overthink way too much.
