What a great collection of stories--surreal and bizarre with a lot of heart. Ironhead was probably my favorite; so touching and sad. End of the Line was the most disturbing and the one I've been thinking about most. I liked Bender's new novel The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake okay--enough to pursue her short stories, which I found to be stronger. As Lorrie Moore is stronger with short fiction, I think Aimee Bender might be, too.
