I read this book because it was only a dollar at Borders and it had a positive quote from VOYA on the back of the book, a source I usually trust.

The story is a single day in the life of Josie. It's her 16th birthday, but since she was born on leap day, it is technically only her 4th birthday.

Nothing about the story itself is particularly surprising. Just a normal day about a teenage girl in high school (ie: gym class, crushes on boys, nasty girls, close friends, and lame classes). What is surprising about this book is that after each chapter is written through Josie's perspective, the author goes through and writes a chapter in the perspectives of everyone she encounters. Josie is not a particularly original character, but some of the insights provided by those around her give the story some depth that would have seriously been lacking without this structure.

This book was definitely not life changing or that great, but I read it quickly (in one day) and enjoyed the ride. I don't think I would got out recommending it to someone, but if it's just a buck...go for it.
