There's a lot in this book. It was a wild ride of hilarity, absurdity, satire and death. Printz award winners usually are really good, and this was no exception. While I doubt most people can relate to Mad Cow disease, the main character explores a lot of issues that are relatable, mostly relating to living life but with a good amount of social satire. I think my favorite part was the dialog of the garden gnome/Norse god.
