I thought this was a fascinating book. I haven't read about the controversy regarding the case study, so I am going to assume for this review that the book is entirely true. It definitely gives a glimpse into how messed up one's family can be, and in turn how messed up that can make a child. What Sybil went through was horrible and traumatic and honestly I am surprised that she ever got over it and learned to live a normal and healthy life. Though the book did drag just a little in certain places, overall I thought it was a fascinating read, especially if you are interested in the field of psychology or mental health.
