it was amazing
bookshelves: fiction, chick-lit, multicultural-literature, women-s-studies
Recommended for: sisters, daughters
Read in January, 2000

This book was unbelievable: the characters were really well developed, believable, and relatable. I loved that Diamant created this world about which we know only a little and made it so concrete and realistic. I also loved the relationships these women had with one another: part friendship/solidarity, part competition/jealousy.
