I just don't understand how people can say that SLOAN annoyed them. Are all you people nuts? Cole was a complete and total bastard! The guy cared for no one but himself, accused all gays of being "whores" with no emotions who are unable to love people, AND wanted to have a wife WHILE screwing aroung with Sloan on the side. He actually proposes this ludicrousness to Sloan, expecting him to be happy about it! Are you freaking kidding me? He also calls Sloan a whore and judges him wrongly throughout the entire book and treats him like utter crap, hurting him deeply over and over again. I HATE Cole so much. He doesn't even deserve Sloan, and it amazes me that people think Sloan was the unlikable character. I just don't understand. And the end was so abrupt and ridiculous I almost laughed. Cole goes from pretending he isn't gay to kissing and holding hands with a man in public in about two seconds.
