Eh. This book really didn't do much for me. I'm not sure if it's because I have no context for either of these characters or their series, or if it's because the book jarred me when it switched from third person (Joanna Brady's world) to first person (J.P. Beaumont's world), if it's because the J.P. Beaumont character wasn't very likable, if it was because the plot/mystery/"suspense" of it sort of fell to the wayside for more in depth background/present on the characters' lives, if it's because the entire book was like a preachy scare tactic on the dangers of sodium azide, or if the ending (including a random and forced "out of the blue romantic tension" moment) felt completely formulaic.

It wasn't a terrible read, but I like the mystery/suspense genre more intelligent and more riveting, with the characters more memorable and complex.
